David got involved because of independence, and the equipment enables him to be competitive.
David spends so much time with a carer, or with someone around him, but he can go out on a boat, be independent, and really enjoy the scenery in the fresh air. David races regularly at his local club, runs the Sailability group there and is involved with the Hansa Class Association, so its not just on the water that he gets a sense of purpose.
